Vern Seal, born on July 9, 1936, in Nampa, Idaho, to Marlin and Hazel Seal, was a remarkable figure known for his multifaceted career as a horse trader, businessman, and auctioneer. Growing up in Nampa, Vern developed a deep passion for the world of auctions and business.



In his early days, Vern was a self-taught auctioneer, honing his skills with dedication and enthusiasm. He took charge of the Peddley horse auction in Southern California, showcasing his abilities as an auctioneer. This experience laid the foundation for his future endeavors in the auction business.



Returning to his roots in Nampa, Idaho, Vern established the Rein and Seal Livestock Auction. His commitment to excellence and dedication to his clients became evident as he conducted successful estate and business liquidation auctions across the United States. Vern was known for representing his sellers fiercely, ensuring that their interests were protected and valued.



In 1965, Vern took a significant step by founding National Auction, a flagship venture that conducted estate and business auctions nationwide. This marked a turning point in his career, establishing him as a prominent figure in the auctioneering community.



Throughout his journey, Vern Seal conducted thousands of successful auctions, showcasing his expertise and professionalism. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to own and operate the Auto Auction of Great Falls for an impressive 17+ years.



Jim's skills as an auctioneer were recognized on a national level when he was personally invited to compete in the National Auto Auctioneers Bid Calling Championship in Las Vegas by its founder, Paul Bare. He holds the esteemed title of an ASA certified auctioneer for both Ford Motor Company and General Motor Corporation, showcasing his credibility and proficiency in the industry.

In addition to his business achievements, Jim has been a valuable advisor and associate with National Auction, contributing to the successful execution of over $1.7 million in estate auctions.
